Max Curtis & Daniella Faircloth - THANK YOU!

Follow The Crows has two leads. A young man and a young woman. They are played by the brilliant Max Curtis and the excellent Daniella Faircloth respectively. Both of our lead actors appeared on set for the first time during our most recent shoot, and the moment of truth finally arrived. Will it work? Will they look right together? Will they look right in costume? Will they look right on location? All the usual concerns that one has when casting for a film.

Of course, we've had rehearsals, they've met each other, we've even done a couple of screen tests. We've spoken about the characters at length, we've spent much time going over and over and over different aspects of their personality or their traits, and we're happy with what we've come up with. But on the day is always different and you never know just how it's going to go. So it's with a very large smile on my face that I say it worked brilliantly.

What we have in our two leads isn't just two brilliant actors who understand their characters, we have two committed people who get the feel of the project and are ready to do what it takes to get to it. Max Curtis spent two days in the freezing rain, watching crows, walking along the "wasteland" and generally being glum, while Daniella Faircloth spent around three hours laying on the floor, handcuffed to a "dead body" (played by Onyx L - who also deserves a shout out for his efforts and commitment), under a dirty blanket, shivering and shaking and trying not to wet herself.

Yes, both our leads deserve a lot of praise for what they went through during the shoot this weekend, and so that is why I am writing this post. It's a special post specifically to call then out on all their awesomeness and let them know that, even though things didn't go as planned, they were both brilliant and that we really, really appreciate their hard work and commitment.

Thank you, guys!
